What “private” means here
Shared groups often get 30–45 minutes at sunrise and 30 on the crater rim. Park rules and peak-day traffic flow still apply to everyone.
Two days, one night
Timings shift with the season’s sunrise, road conditions and your onward travel. Optional on the way back: Madakaripura waterfall, 1.5–2 hours from Cemara Lawang plus 20–30 minutes on foot — you will get wet, so bring sandals and a dry change. Or add a third day for Ijen, about 6–7 hours’ drive away.

Not fixed quotes: the ranges come from recent bookings and supplier rates we review regularly. Families of 4–6 sharing one jeep usually pay less per head; upgraded hotels or last-minute peak dates sit higher. See the full price guide.

Who runs what
Mount Bromo Tour Package is the Bromo desk of Bali Premium Trip, planned from Bali. You book directly with our reservations team at published rates, with no extra layer of third-party markup; we pay the jeep operators, guides and hotels and stay responsible for the flow of your trip.
Sunrises can be clear in both seasons. May–October is more predictable but busier; November–April is quieter, sometimes foggy. We never guarantee weather or sunrise colours.

Most guests wake between 02:30 and 03:00. The exact time depends on your hotel location, road conditions and that season’s sunrise, but plan for a 3–4 hour gap between wake-up and the first sun on Bromo.
If you value space, flexible timing and dedicated guiding, yes — the difference is noticeable, especially on colder, busier mornings. Budget travellers who are comfortable with crowds may prefer the cheaper shared options.
We recommend 2–4 adults per jeep. It can usually carry up to 5 guests in the back plus the driver and, if needed, a guide up front — but camera bags and jackets make it tighter.
Warm layers: a base layer, sweater or fleece, windproof jacket, long trousers, closed shoes or light hiking boots, a hat and gloves. Before sunrise near the viewpoints it can feel close to single digits Celsius with the wind. More in our packing list.
Yes. Most local warungs and hotel restaurants in East Java serve halal food, plus simple vegetarian dishes such as vegetable fried rice or vegetable soup. Tell us your dietary needs when you book so we can brief the team and suggest suitable stops.
